strenuous hiking. Water can be scarce along the trail, so it’s important to
know where your water resources are, it’s best to plan your Dobson Trail hike.

Recommended Travel Time
The total distance you will cover from Riverview, NB to the
boundary of Fundy National Park at Shepody Road (or vice versa) is 57.75 kms. Some have completed
the trail in less than 24 hours (well conditioned individuals), but we
recommend 2 – 3 days to really enjoy the views. There are various campsites
along the Dobson that are indicated in our guide.

If you’re planning to park at the southern trail head of the
Dobson Trail, located on Shepody Road, or if you’re leaving your vehicle in the
parking area overnight in Riverview, PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If you plan on entering and/or backcountry camping/camping at
Fundy National Park in Alma. you will be
required to pay a park entry fee and also reserve a backcountry campsite or
regular campsite and pay for any additional overnight parking fees if you plan
on leaving your vehicle inside the park, please advise park staff your
intention so they can advise you. You will need to reserve your campsites in
advance. First come, first serve.
